On April 28, an incident at King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEM) in Parel, Mumbai, resulted in the assault of nursing and security staff by relatives of a deceased patient. Following the death of a 19-year-old patient due to liver disease, a group of 14 to 15 relatives became aggressive, verbally abusing and physically attacking two nurses and four security personnel.
