The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is set to launch its first hydrogen-powered shuttle service on Friday, connecting key government offices in Central Vista with the Central Secretariat and Seva Teerth metro stations. This initiative aims to improve last-mile connectivity and encourage public transport usage among government officials and the public. The shuttle buses, each with a capacity of 35 passengers, will operate from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. With a frequency of 30 minutes, the buses will cover significant landmarks including Kartavya Bhawan and India Gate. Fares are set at ₹10 and ₹15, payable through various methods including the National Common Mobility Card. The project is a collaboration between DMRC, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, and the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, with buses provided by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited.
