The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is taking a significant step towards improving its digital infrastructure by establishing a data centre in Pune, Maharashtra, India. This centre will centralize and manage examination records for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from all nine divisional boards, including Pune, Mumbai, and Nagpur. Currently, the board relies on rented facilities, incurring substantial annual costs. The new data centre, developed in collaboration with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) support, is expected to be operational within a year. Chairman Trigun Kulkarni emphasized that this initiative will enhance data security and expedite student services. Additionally, the board is digitizing approximately 80 lakh pages of historical records dating back to 1965, allowing students to access their marksheets and related documents digitally in the future.
