This remarkable increase is primarily due to the success of TikTok and ByteDance's AI chatbot, Doubao, which has gained over 300 million monthly users. Zhang's fortune has surged more than sevenfold since March 2019, when it was recorded at $13 billion. ByteDance is also making significant investments in artificial intelligence, with plans to allocate as much as $70 billion by 2026 to bolster its position in the Chinese AI market and compete globally. Mukesh Ambani, now ranked third with a net worth of $86.9 billion, follows Gautam Adani, who leads with $117.4 billion. Notably, Forbes presents a different ranking, placing Ambani at the top with $89.5 billion, while Zhang is third with $69.3 billion. The discrepancies between Bloomberg and Forbes highlight the dynamic nature of wealth in Asia.
