Maruti Suzuki India reported a record total sales of 239,646 units in April, reflecting a 33.29% year-on-year increase. This impressive growth was primarily driven by strong demand for small cars and SUVs. Domestic sales reached an all-time high of 191,122 units, surpassing the previous record of 182,165 units set in December 2025. The mini car segment, which includes models like Alto and S-Presso, experienced a remarkable growth of 153%, with sales rising to 16,066 units from 6,332 units in April 2025. Additionally, the compact car category, including popular models such as Baleno and Swift, saw an increase to 80,659 units from 61,912 units last year. Sales of utility vehicles also rose significantly, reaching 77,892 units compared to 59,022 units in the same month last year. Exports also saw a boost, totaling 40,054 units, up from 27,911 units in April 2025.
