The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has launched the SWAGAM portal aimed at regularising 1,511 unauthorised colonies. As of now, 15 residents have applied for ownership rights, but no applications for house regularisation have been received. The applications are being processed under the Pradhan Mantri Unauthorised Colonies in Delhi Awas Adhikar Yojana (PM-UDAY). To promote awareness, the MCD has initiated drives, including announcements via garbage collection vehicles and plans to send direct messages to approximately 40,000 residents who previously secured ownership rights. Awareness camps will help residents understand the necessary documentation for applications. The MCD has set a structured timeline for processing applications, including a GIS survey within seven days and issuance of conveyance deeds within 45 days. Additionally, the MCD has received 430 applications from property owners in non-PM-UDAY areas under a separate regularisation initiative launched in August 2025.
