India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has announced its preparedness to initiate the Agni-VI intercontinental ballistic missile project, pending formal government approval. DRDO Chairman Samir V Kamat emphasized that while the decision rests with the government, the scientific community is fully equipped to proceed. The Agni-VI is anticipated to surpass existing Agni series missiles in terms of range and capabilities, reinforcing India's strategic deterrence.
