The Uttar Pradesh Police have apprehended two individuals in connection with a forced religious conversion case in the Kajiwada neighborhood of Shamli district. According to Shamli Superintendent of Police NP Singh, the accused were involved in a premeditated scheme to lure a young man into a romantic entrapment, subsequently blackmailing him for financial gain. The police reported that this incident was part of a larger operation, resulting in a total of 16 arrests across various cases in the district, including narcotics, theft, and attempted murder. The police emphasized their commitment to tackling illegal activities, particularly those exploiting individuals through coercion and blackmail.
