On Wednesday morning, a 22-year-old woman, who was the daughter of a senior Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, was found dead in her home in Kailash Hills, southeast Delhi. Investigators suspect she was raped and strangled using a mobile phone charger cable. The prime suspect, Rahul Meena, 19, allegedly assaulted another woman in his village in Alwar, Rajasthan, just hours before the incident in Delhi. Meena, who had previously worked as a domestic help for the victim's family, is believed to have entered the residence around 6 AM after the victim's parents left for the gym. Police reported that he was familiar with the family's routine and the house layout. After the assault, he fled and was later arrested at a hotel in Dwarka, Delhi. Investigators are examining motives, including possible resentment due to his recent dismissal from the family's employment for financial irregularities. The police are also analyzing CCTV footage and have detained two individuals for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.
