The rain not only cooled the city but also contributed to a drop in temperatures across other regions of India, including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Delhi, where the maximum temperature fell to around 37 degrees Celsius. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted continued rainfall in the coming days, which is expected to further alleviate the heatwave conditions that have affected several states, including Kerala, which also experienced heavy rain on the same day.
