The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced 668,854 registrations for the Class X second board examination in 2026, which will occur from May 15 to May 21. This examination allows students to improve their scores in up to three subjects, aligning with the educational reforms under the National Education Policy 2020. Among the registered candidates, 85,285 are in the compartment category, while 525,655 are seeking to improve their performance. The subject preferences reveal that Science leads with 474,491 candidates, followed by Mathematics Standard with 368,843 registrations. The results for this examination will be released by the end of June 2026, incorporating the best scores from both the first and second examinations, which saw a pass percentage of 93.70% in the first round.
