A violent clash in Uklana, Hisar district, Haryana, India, on Monday night led to the death of Shubham, a resident of Bhana village in Adampur, and injuries to five others. The police arrested Pradeep Sony, who claimed to be a local worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), under Section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The incident unfolded around 10:45 PM when Sony was at a confectionery shop. Eyewitnesses reported that a group of masked assailants arrived in a Bolero vehicle and attacked him with sticks and iron rods. In self-defense, Sony allegedly opened fire from his licensed pistol, resulting in one fatality and several injuries. The injured individuals—Mukesh, Pawan Bedi, Vivek (alias Jatin), Sonu, and Monu—were hospitalized for treatment. The police recovered wooden sticks and two pairs of shoes from the scene. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been established to probe the incident, which preliminary investigations suggest may be linked to personal enmity between Sony and one of the injured.
