Arvind Kejriwal, the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), addressed party MLAs in Delhi, asserting that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be defeated in the upcoming Punjab assembly elections. He claimed that this defeat will halt the BJP's winning momentum across India, which has seen recent victories in states like West Bengal and Assam. Kejriwal emphasized that the AAP government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, enjoys strong public support despite being in power for four years. He accused the BJP of undermining democracy through manipulative tactics, including the use of central agencies to influence elections. Kejriwal urged AAP MLAs to engage with voters directly to counter the BJP's alleged hostility towards Punjab and its people. He criticized the central government for failing to provide adequate support to Punjab, suggesting that they have instead taken away resources that rightfully belong to the state.
