During the Home Guard Enrollment Examination 2025 held in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, a 27-year-old man named Anurag was caught impersonating another candidate during biometric verification. The examination, conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, took place over three days starting April 25. Anurag was identified after suspicious behavior was noted by examination officials at Sahu Gopinath Kanya Inter College. Investigations revealed that he had also taken the exam the previous day for another candidate named Dharmendra Singh at a different location. Following his admission of guilt during interrogation, a case was filed against him at the Kotwali police station, charging him under various sections of the law, including cheating and forgery. Anurag has since been arrested and is currently in judicial custody.
