On Sunday, the Bharati Vidyapeeth police arrested four men in connection with the murder of Tejas Dattatraya Pilane, a 24-year-old eatery owner in Katraj, Pune, India. The incident occurred early Saturday morning when Pilane was attacked with sharp weapons after a dispute over dancing during a wedding procession in Velhe taluka. Pilane was on a motorcycle with a staff member when they were confronted by the assailants. Despite attempts to escape, he was fatally injured. The police quickly responded and, utilizing technical data and CCTV footage, apprehended Vishal Dattatraya Khopade (22), Abhisekh Dilip Khopde (23), Sachin Harishchandra Dhule (43), and Adinath Shivaji Kasabe (19) within 10 hours of the incident. The attackers were reportedly cousins of the victim, with a history of disputes leading to this tragic event. A case has been filed under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
