Skoda Auto Volkswagen India has officially begun production of the updated Volkswagen Taigun at its Chakan plant in Pune, Maharashtra. This initiative reflects India's increasing significance as a global manufacturing hub, particularly in the burgeoning SUV market. The new Taigun features a refreshed design that aims to attract younger buyers while retaining its familiar shape. Enhancements focus on comfort and convenience, responding to customer feedback to improve daily usability. Known for its ability to handle diverse Indian driving conditions, the Taigun offers a balance of comfort, performance, and durability. The SUV boasts a 5-star safety rating, instilling confidence among buyers, especially families. Since its launch in 2021, over 143,000 units have been produced, with 30% exported to international markets. With local manufacturing and updated features, the new Taigun is poised to strengthen Volkswagen's presence in India.
