Following his removal as deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha, Chadha shared a video on social media that compiled clips of him discussing various Punjab-centric concerns, including the demand for heritage city status for Anandpur Sahib, the minimum support price for farmers, and air pollution. In response to the criticism, he asserted that Punjab is deeply personal to him, stating, 'It is my home, my duty, my soil, my soul.' Punjab finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema and other AAP leaders expressed disappointment over Chadha's performance, claiming he failed to address significant financial issues, including ₹8,500 crore in pending Rural Development Fund dues and ₹60,000 crore in GST-related losses. They emphasized that such inaction contradicts AAP's core principles, which prioritize raising public issues without fear. The leaders highlighted the need for sustained attention to Punjab's financial and relief matters at the national level, especially following the floods last year.
