On Monday, the Delhi government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with private entities including Dalmia Bharat Limited, Godrej Industries Group, and EaseMyTrip Foundation to develop 'green zones' beneath flyovers. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that this initiative aims to beautify neglected urban spaces and improve public infrastructure. The project will feature landscaped areas, wall murals, seating arrangements, and enhanced sanitation systems. Notably, a Ramayana-themed visual journey will be showcased at Mangi Setu through murals. Gupta highlighted that these transformations would not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of Delhi but also encourage public participation in maintaining cleanliness. Public Works Department Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh added that the beautification efforts would make these areas safer and more functional for residents.
