These disturbances have led to significant temperature drops, particularly in northwest India, where Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 32°C, two degrees below normal. However, farmers in states like Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana are facing devastating losses due to hail and rain damaging crops nearing harvest. The situation has escalated to a crisis, with calls for immediate financial assistance. The IMD has issued an orange alert for several states, warning of intense weather activity, including hailstorms. While current conditions provide temporary relief from the heat, scientists warn that hotter-than-usual summer temperatures are expected to return once these disturbances pass.
