The investment, made through a preferential issue of 47.11 crore equity shares at ₹840.93 per share, has received all necessary regulatory approvals, including from the Competition Commission of India. This strategic partnership is expected to bolster Shriram Finance's growth trajectory, benefiting from MUFG's extensive global expertise and financial capabilities. Shriram Finance, with assets exceeding ₹2.91 trillion, offers a diverse range of financial products across 3,225 branches. However, the company reported a 29.36% decline in standalone net profit to ₹2,521.67 crore for Q3 FY26 compared to the same quarter last year, alongside a 1.38% decrease in total income to ₹12,191.58 crore.
