George Linde, a left-arm spin-bowling allrounder from South Africa, has signed with the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for IPL 2026 at a base price of INR 1 crore (approximately $120,000 USD). This marks Linde's debut in the IPL, although he has played in various T20 leagues, including the SA20, the Hundred, Major League Cricket, and the Pakistan Super League over the past year. In his T20 career, Linde has taken 218 wickets with an economy rate of 7.42 and scored 2746 runs at an average of 19.47. He is expected to strengthen LSG's batting lineup, particularly at the No. 8 position. After starting the season with a loss against the Delhi Capitals, LSG has bounced back with two narrow victories, placing them fifth in the points table. Their next challenge is against the Gujarat Titans on Sunday in Lucknow.
