At a rally in Thiruvalla, Pathanamthitta district, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that the countdown for the removal of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government in Kerala has commenced, asserting that a BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will soon take power. Modi emphasized that the BJP has signaled a strong desire among the people of Kerala to end Left rule. He criticized the LDF and the United Democratic Front (UDF) for neglecting basic infrastructure in rural areas, stating that Kerala, despite its potential, lags in development compared to other states. Modi claimed that the NDA government has invested five times more in Kerala's development than the previous Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government. He also accused the LDF of delaying the Sabari rail project, which he said has harmed the people of Thiruvalla. Modi pledged that a BJP government would remove all obstacles to development and address issues like youth migration, corruption, and communalism in the state.
