Luke Rollins, a junior majoring in mechanical engineering, has been appointed as the Head Yell Leader for the 2026-27 academic year at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. Drawing on his deep family roots—being a fourth-generation Aggie—Rollins will lead the Yell Leaders, who act as the university's spirit ambassadors at various events, including athletic competitions. Elected by the student body, the Yell Leaders represent the Aggie Spirit and participate in approximately 350 to 400 official events each year. Rollins, who has been involved in campus activities such as the Corps of Cadets and the Traditions Council, expressed his commitment to fostering a sense of belonging among students. He believes that the role of Yell Leaders is to serve the student body and enhance the atmosphere at events like Midnight Yell and games at Reed Arena and Ellis Field. With a family history steeped in Aggie tradition, including a mother who was the first female student body president and a father who was a previous Head Yell Leader, Rollins is determined to uphold and strengthen the unique traditions of Texas A&M.
