On March 10, a tragic mudslide at a construction site in Gurugram, Haryana, India, claimed the lives of six migrant workers from East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan districts. In response, Union minister of state for defence Sanjay Seth handed over cheques of ₹40 lakh (approximately $48,000 USD) each to the families of the deceased. During a condolence meeting, Seth emphasized the irreplaceable loss for the families and assured them of government support, particularly in education and daily needs. Additionally, job letters were provided to the kin of two victims.
