External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is set to visit the United Arab Emirates on April 11 and 12 for discussions with Emirati leaders, including his counterpart. This visit follows a recently announced two-week ceasefire in the ongoing conflict in West Asia involving Iran, Israel, and the United States. Amid the conflict, India and the UAE have remained in constant communication, reflecting their close ties. Tragically, at least one Indian national has been reported dead in Abu Dhabi due to debris from an intercepted missile, contributing to a total of eight Indian fatalities across the region. Jaishankar's upcoming discussions are expected to continue the dialogue initiated during the UAE foreign minister's earlier visit to India, where they exchanged views on the regional situation.
