A tragic accident occurred on Thursday evening at Aira bridge on the Sharda river in Lakhimpur, Uttar Pradesh, when a truck collided head-on with an auto carrying nearly a dozen passengers. Four individuals, including three women, lost their lives in the incident. The deceased were identified as Ram Devi (42) from Khaniyapur village, Jahira (32) and Chhotanni (35) from Maharajnagar village, and Shyam Lal (55) from Hardi village. Five others, including Jahira's children, Chhotu and Khalikun, were seriously injured and were taken to the district hospital for treatment.
