On Wednesday morning, Shravan Kumar, a 45-year-old tea stall owner in Darbhanga district, Bihar, was shot dead while attempting to catch two motorcycle-borne criminals who had tried to snatch a gold chain from a passerby, Amit Kumar Singh. The incident took place near the entrance of Rambag Fort, where Singh was buying milk when the attack occurred. Eyewitnesses reported that as Singh resisted the theft, local residents intervened, prompting Shravan Kumar to rush forward to help. The assailants fired multiple shots, hitting Shravan in the chest. He was taken to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) but was declared dead upon arrival.
