Adani Green Energy, a subsidiary of the Adani Group led by billionaire Gautam Adani, reported a 34% increase in its profit for the fourth quarter of 2023, amounting to ₹3,420 crore ($362.8 million). This growth is attributed to higher power sales and improved capacity utilization. The company's revenue from power supply rose by 16%, totaling ₹3,094 crore, while overall revenue increased by nearly 14% to ₹3,737 crore. Additionally, energy sales surged by 34%, and the earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) climbed 20% to ₹2,944 crore, maintaining margins at 91%. Adani Green's operational capacity also expanded by 35% during the fiscal year, positioning the company as a key player in India's ambitious renewable energy sector, which aims for 500 gigawatts of non-fossil capacity by 2030.
