In a recent operation in Nagla Jahanu village, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, five men were booked for power theft after officials discovered they were illegally drawing a total of 18.28 kW of electricity. The suspects, identified as Fakhruddin, Rukmuddin, Asif, Arif, and Ismail, were found to have unauthorized connections at their premises. This inspection was part of a broader initiative by the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) and Purvanchal Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Limited (PVVNL) aimed at addressing the significant issue of electricity theft in the region.
