On Monday, two 20-year-old residents of Kasan village near IMT Manesar, Haryana, India, were arrested for the murder of a 55-year-old man, which was reportedly an act of revenge for a killing that occurred in 2018. The victim, who was recently released on parole after serving time for murder, was shot while sitting with villagers on April 30. The assailants entered the area armed, opened fire at close range, and threatened bystanders before fleeing, leaving behind two country-made pistols. Police have registered a case under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and forensic teams have examined the crime scene. One of the suspects claimed that the victim had previously killed his father, prompting him to seek revenge. The investigation revealed that the suspects had planned the attack and acquired illegal weapons from Uttar Pradesh. They are expected to be presented in court for further proceedings.
