Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay is scheduled to visit Tiruchirappalli on June 1 for his inaugural official event since assuming office. He intends to express gratitude to the constituents who supported him, particularly after resigning from the Tiruchirappalli East Assembly seat, which he initially won. The Thanksgiving meeting will be held at St. Joseph's College, located near the Chathiram Bus Stand, where significant crowds are expected. In preparation, Tiruchirappalli City Police are implementing extensive security measures and discussing traffic diversions in the area. Since taking office, CM Vijay has also overseen a major reshuffle within the Indian Administrative Service, affecting several senior officials. Additionally, during a recent visit to New Delhi, he met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to advocate for the establishment of the Centre for Airborne Systems in Tamil Nadu, highlighting ongoing discussions with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) regarding the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) Design and Development Centre.
