Key figures, including Congress general secretary K. Venugopal and Karnataka in-charge Randeep Surjewala, are expected to hold preliminary meetings ahead of the Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) meeting at the Vidhan Soudha. Congress leader Satish Jarkiholi expressed strong confidence that Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar will be appointed as the next Chief Minister, stating that the party aims to continue the developmental initiatives started during Siddaramaiah's administration.
