In a tragic incident early Tuesday morning, two truck drivers, Sujit Kumar (27) and Bala Rajvanshi (38), lost their lives after being struck by a speeding car near the Geeta Colony flyover in north Delhi. The accident occurred around 2:45 AM when Amit Mehto, a cousin of one of the victims, noticed them standing by the roadside. As he approached them, a white car from the Rajghat bus depot side hit the two men and fled the scene without stopping. Despite being rushed to Lok Nayak Hospital, both were declared dead upon arrival. Police have registered a case of rash driving and causing death by negligence under Sections 281 and 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Kotwali police station. Authorities are currently working to identify the vehicle and apprehend the driver responsible for this tragic incident.
