On Tuesday morning, a tragic accident on Kalyan-Murbad Road, approximately 60 kilometers from Kalyan, India, claimed the lives of four family members when their SUV collided head-on with a State Transport (ST) bus. The deceased were identified as Abhishek Bhanudas Mote, 35, the driver, along with three other relatives. The family was traveling to visit a sick relative in Dombivli when the crash occurred at a notorious sharp turn in the ghat section of the road. Four additional family members were seriously injured, with one child, Aaradhya, in critical condition. The police inspector noted that the driver was reportedly speeding and failed to notice the oncoming bus in time. This accident raises serious concerns about road safety, especially following another fatal incident on April 13 that resulted in the deaths of 11 passengers. Authorities are urging motorists to exercise caution on this dangerous stretch of road.
