HCLTech, headquartered in Noida, India, reported a net profit of ₹4,488 crore for the fourth quarter of FY26, representing a 4.2% increase compared to the same period last year. Despite this growth, the company missed market expectations, which had forecasted a profit of ₹4,695 crore and revenue of ₹34,495 crore. The management attributed the subdued performance to macroeconomic uncertainties affecting tech investments and a 35% sequential decline in deal bookings, leading to a revised revenue growth outlook of 1%-4% for FY27. Revenue for the quarter reached ₹33,981 crore, a 12% increase year-on-year, but only a 0.3% rise sequentially. In dollar terms, revenue was $3,682 million, down 2.9% quarter-on-quarter but up 5.3% year-on-year. HCLTech's operating margin fell to 16.5%, down from 18.6% in the previous quarter, while the company added 802 employees in Q4, raising its total workforce to 227,181. Despite challenges, HCLTech's performance remains relatively strong compared to competitors like TCS and Wipro, which reported declines in annual revenue.
