In Bilaspur district, Chhattisgarh, 50,865 domestic LPG consumers are at risk of losing their cooking gas supply if they do not complete the mandatory E-KYC process within the next week. Brijendra Pathania, the District Controller of the Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, announced that the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has made E-KYC compulsory for all active LPG connections. Currently, there are 1,30,149 active LPG connections in the district, with 79,284 having completed the E-KYC process. Pathania emphasized the urgency for consumers to contact their gas agencies to avoid disruptions in supply and subsidies. To complete the E-KYC, consumers need their Aadhaar card, registered mobile number, and LPG consumer number or gas passbook. He urged all consumers to act promptly to ensure uninterrupted access to LPG.
