The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has instructed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to investigate allegations made by Vignesh Sishir, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker, against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. The court issued this directive on May 13, following a petition claiming that Gandhi amassed disproportionate assets. The court also allowed Sishir to include the secretary of the corporate affairs ministry in the case. This is the second case filed by Sishir against Gandhi, who is also accused of violating the citizenship law and allegedly holding a British passport alongside his Indian passport. The court has ordered that all documents related to the case be kept in a sealed cover and has scheduled the next hearing for May 20, with the citizenship case to be heard on May 27.
