On Wednesday morning, a 21-year-old UPSC aspirant was discovered dead at her home in Kailash Hills, Delhi. The victim, daughter of an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, was allegedly raped and strangled with a mobile phone charger cable. Police suspect her former househelp, Rahul, a 19-year-old from Rajasthan, who had been dismissed two months prior for stealing money while purchasing household supplies. Investigators found CCTV footage showing him near the house around 6:00 AM on the day of the incident. The victim's parents had left for their morning routine around 5:30 AM, returning to find their daughter's body at 8:30 AM. The police are conducting a thorough investigation, including a post-mortem to confirm the sexual assault, and are also exploring the possibility of stolen items.
