India has issued a strong rebuke to China following its admission of providing support to Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, which took place in May 2025. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that countries aiding efforts to sustain terrorist infrastructure should consider the negative impact on their international reputation. This statement follows reports confirming China's technical assistance to Pakistan during the four-day military engagement, which was a response to a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, that resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians. Jaiswal described Operation Sindoor as a necessary and calibrated military action aimed at dismantling state-sponsored terrorism emanating from Pakistan. The operation lasted for 88 hours and marked a significant moment in India's military strategy. China's admission of support was highlighted by an interview aired on state broadcaster CCTV, where an engineer from the Aviation Industry Corporation of China acknowledged his role in aiding Pakistan's military efforts.
