India's Ministry of External Affairs has reacted strongly to reports of China's support for Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, which was launched in retaliation for the April 2025 Pahalgam attack that resulted in 26 fatalities. Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that the operation was a precise and calibrated response aimed at dismantling state-sponsored terrorism emanating from Pakistan. Jaiswal urged China to reflect on its actions, suggesting that supporting terrorist infrastructure could harm its international reputation. The operation, which lasted 88 hours, marked a significant shift in India's military strategy in South Asia. Recently, China confirmed its role in providing technical support to Pakistan, with an engineer from the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) stating that their assistance aimed to enhance the combat performance of Pakistan's Chinese-made J-10CE fighter jets. Reports indicate that 81% of Pakistan's military hardware is of Chinese origin, highlighting the deep military ties between the two nations. Since 2015, China has sold $8.2 billion worth of arms to Pakistan, making it the largest recipient of Chinese military exports.
