Following the BJP's significant electoral victory in West Bengal, numerous incidents of vandalism and arson targeting Trinamool Congress (TMC) offices were reported across the state on Monday. Locations affected included Tollygunge and Kasba in Kolkata, as well as Baruipur, Kamarhati, Baranagar, Howrah, and Baharampur. The TMC alleged that BJP supporters were behind these attacks, with party officials expressing outrage over the violence. TMC candidate Aroop Biswas's election office was notably vandalized, and a video surfaced showing a TMC office in Siliguri being set ablaze. In response, BJP leader Rahul Sinha denied any involvement from his party, suggesting that the unrest might stem from rival factions within the TMC expressing frustration over the election results. The Election Commission has stated that it will take strict action against those involved in the violence, emphasizing the need for accountability in the wake of these events.
