In Virar, Maharashtra, a double murder has shocked the community as Shivam Upadhyay, 27, is accused of killing his fiancée Nancy Mishra, 22, and her mother Sarita Mishra after their families opposed their marriage. The tragic events unfolded in the Poonam Akanksha Apartment in YK Nagar on Wednesday afternoon. According to police reports, tensions escalated when Upadhyay circulated private photographs of Nancy on social media, leading to a heated argument. After failing to convince Sarita to accept their relationship, he returned the next day to confront them. During the argument, he allegedly picked up a kitchen knife and fatally attacked both women before attempting to take his own life. Neighbors heard their screams and found all three bleeding. Nancy and Sarita were declared dead upon arrival at JJ Hospital, while Upadhyay remains in critical condition.
