Delhi Police's special cell arrested two individuals from Madhya Pradesh, Rajveer (21) and Vivek Banjara (19), for allegedly planning shootings at hotels and clubs in the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR). The pair were reportedly recruited by Shahzad Bhatti, a gangster-turned-terrorist linked to Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), through social media. They were under surveillance after police received tips about their reconnaissance activities in Delhi. Raids led to their arrests, with Vivek apprehended in Dabra, Gwalior on April 16, and Rajveer arrested two days later in Delhi. Police recovered a pistol, six live cartridges, and incriminating evidence from their mobile phones. The duo had identified specific targets in Connaught Place and Chanakyapuri and were also attempting to procure weapons from Ahmedabad. Bhatti is suspected to be operating from Dubai, with past connections to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
