During a recent gathering in Chennai, M K Stalin, the president of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), launched a pointed critique of the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) government, led by Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay. Stalin raised concerns about the government's stability, suggesting it may not endure beyond three months. He noted that while he initially refrained from criticism for six months, the growing discontent among the public is prompting him to reconsider. He highlighted that criticism of the government is already on the rise, with many questioning its longevity. In light of recent inductions into the DMK, Stalin urged new members to engage actively in the party's organizational efforts and to refrain from attacking their previous political affiliations. He quoted DMK founder C N Annadurai, advocating for respect towards rivals.
