On Sunday evening, police in New Delhi arrested Azad Hussain, 37, and his wife Rubina for the murder of 63-year-old Madhav Ram, a retired official of the Reserve Bank of India. The couple allegedly killed Ram after he repeatedly refused to lend them money. The victim was found with multiple stab wounds at his residence in the Mandir Marg area. Police believe the couple knew Ram and planned the crime, as there were no signs of forced entry. CCTV footage revealed Azad near the victim's house on the morning of the murder, leading to their swift identification and arrest. During interrogation, Azad confessed to the crime, stating that he killed Ram after another denial for a loan. Rubina was also implicated for attempting to destroy evidence by washing Azad's blood-stained clothes and concealing information about the incident. Both have been charged with murder.
