In the early hours of Monday, three masked men vandalized a parked Maruti Suzuki Ritz in Star City Colony, Ludhiana, Punjab, India. CCTV footage captured the incident around 1:52 AM, where the assailants arrived on a scooter without a registration plate. They smashed the car's rear windshield and side windows using a hammer before fleeing. The car owner, Himanshu, a private sector employee, discovered the damage in the morning and reported it to the police, noting that a hammer was left inside his vehicle. This incident has raised alarm among residents, as several similar vandalism cases have been reported in the area recently. A local resident, Geeta Verma, mentioned that her Maruti Baleno was vandalized in a similar manner just a week prior. She expressed concern that the same group might be responsible for at least four car damages in the colony over the past two-and-a-half months. ASI Sukhjinder Singh, in charge of the Jagatpuri police post, confirmed that an inquiry is underway, although the attackers' identities remain unknown due to their covered faces and the lack of a number plate on their scooter.
