The application process for the regularisation of 1,511 unauthorised colonies in Delhi has commenced through the Municipal Corporation of Delhi's SWAGAM portal. This initiative is part of the Pradhan Mantri-Unauthorised Colonies in Delhi Awas Yojana (PM-UDAY) scheme, which aims to regularise unauthorised colonies on an 'as-is where-is' basis. Residents who possess conveyance deeds or authorisation slips can now formalise their properties by logging onto the portal and selecting their respective colonies. The application process requires users to indicate if they have an existing PM-UDAY Case ID, with those lacking one being redirected to complete ownership rights on the PM-UDAY portal. A structured timeline has been established for processing applications, including a GIS survey within seven days, rectification of deficiencies within 15 days, and issuance of conveyance deeds within 45 days. The revenue department, alongside the Delhi Development Authority, will oversee the application processing and ensure that issued documents are transmitted digitally to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
