Avenue Supermarts Ltd, which operates the retail chain D-Mart, reported a 19.17% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit, reaching ₹656.42 crore for the March quarter of FY26, compared to ₹550.79 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations also saw a significant rise of 18.9%, totaling ₹17,683.86 crore. The profit after tax margin remained stable at 3.7%. For the entire fiscal year, the company registered a profit of ₹2,969.86 crore, marking a 9.7% increase, while total consolidated income rose by 15.8% to ₹68,894.84 crore. Managing Director & CEO Anshul Asawa noted that gross margins improved slightly and costs aligned with business growth. D-Mart opened 58 new stores during the quarter, achieving a total of 500 stores in India. The company’s online platform, D-Mart Ready, continues to operate in 18 cities, despite discontinuing operations in one city during the quarter. Asawa mentioned that geopolitical tensions led to a temporary spike in consumer buying in March 2026, although supply chain disruptions were minimal.
