The conglomerate, which employs over 35,000 people across various sectors including tyres, IT services, and pharmaceuticals, is encouraging employees to work from home wherever possible to cut down on fuel consumption. Travel restrictions have been imposed, with both domestic and international travel limited to an 'absolute minimum' to address rising costs and geopolitical uncertainties. The group is also accelerating its transition to electric vehicles, committing to own or lease only electric or hybrid vehicles going forward. Goenka emphasized that these measures not only support national interests but also foster a culture of agility and responsibility within the organization.
