A 300-meter-long skywalk connecting the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s Sector 52 station with the Noida Metro Rail Corporation’s Sector 51 station in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, remains closed due to pending finishing touches, causing significant inconvenience for thousands of daily commuters. Despite being ready for over a year, the skywalk is non-functional due to technical issues, including the need to demolish a beam obstructing the foot overbridge. Commuters have been left to navigate a poorly maintained road that is often congested with roadside vendors and vehicles, making the commute hazardous, especially during rains when waterlogging occurs. Barricades have been erected to create parking spaces, further complicating access to the stations and creating bottlenecks. Commuters express frustration over the lack of traffic regulation and the absence of a specific timeline for the skywalk's opening, which was intended to provide a seamless interchange between the two metro networks.
